I have known my boss/manager for about 10 years, and in fact, she was the person who hooked me up with my job. I work at a restaurant. I have gone to church with this woman for 10-11 years now, and she is a menacing, back stabbing b*tch. She constantly acts like she has to be superior to everyone, even the owner. she constantly criticizes the food i cook, sometimes even throws it away after ive made it. IM SICK OF HER

I hate my boss. She treats me like one of her kids. And when I say this, I am not exaggerating. One day she brought her adolescent kids in and as I overheard her in the next room, I thought she was reprimanding me for doing something wrong - but no! she was yelling at her kid. I knew she was a demeaning, condescending c*nt from day one, but I was horrified from then on at the way she treated me. No job is worth waking up in dread everyday at what new BS she will find to yell at me about. No wonder she has been through a handful of temps over the last year!!! No one can stand her. They should give me a signing bonus just for being the only fool with enough patience (or stupidity) to put up with her for more than a few months.

My boss is completely inexperienced and only wanted to become a manager for the title, salary, commission (we're in sales) and so she could sit back and collect on our work without lifting a hand. She's not there for the team only herself. All she cares about is how she looks in front of her boss for her Monday morning meetings. Selfish wench!! - First of, she was a sales rep who was on plan for not making her number three qtrs in a row b4 she was promoted. She was promoted (after being turned down for three previous management positions) because she happened to have a fainting spell in the office due to the fact that she was preggers. So it was a pity promo. How can anyone respect a manager who can't even do the job of the people they are managing??
- According to the rep who now has her old territory, she was running away from her screw ups. Her old territory was in complete shambles!
- She told us in our first team meeting to not copy her on emails because she already gets so many. WTF?? If I need my manager to keep an eye on a situation because I may need them to step in, why would i not copy them? Laaaazzzyy!
- She sends nasty dictatorial emails days after the issue has already been resolved. This shows how little she pays attention to emails that we copy her on. Takes forever to reply to emails that are sent directly to her for approvals.
- On conf calls she's completely clueless and zones out. Half way through the call she'll start asking questions that have already been answered.
- My cell phone rang the other morning and I'll admit it was loud, I forgot to turn it down, it was still very early with hardly no one in the office. And she starts screaming "get your phone!" I ran over to my phone to turn it down and said "wow, it's not killing anyone...why are you yelling", oh wait I forgot to mention her phone rang just 5 mins before mine loud also...AND THEN TEN MINS LATER!!...but I guess what's good for the goose is NOT good for the gander in her eyes. Hypocrite!!!
- Never ever says "please" or "thank you" in emails to us. She just barks orders and keeps it moving. RUDE BITCH!!
- Gives out bad information instead of finding out the right answers because she thinks she knows everything. IDIOT!!
- Treats us like we are idiots even though we all have a better track record when it comes to making our number. HEIFER!!!
Seriously, they gave her our team because we are a stellar group that can hold our own and really don't even need a manager, so they figured it'd be easy and she couldn't possible eff it up. However, if they do not move this chick to another team/dept we will basically be looking to move real soon. [/list]

I dispise my boss. She is passive-agressive. She is friendly and then can cut you life a knife. She is not a good manager - she does not trust her employees to do their work. She is also unfair and the mood swings are just intolerable. She is 51 and is obsessed with her looks, very vain, so she is constantly talking about other people. I hate to have to sit and listen, on those days when we are "friends" and then ask to work remotely for 1/2 day and get the "are you sure everything is taken care of?" as if I'm an idiot. She shoots from the hip and then realizes she's a fool and then tries to make it up to me by talking and being nice. You never know where you stand with her - I have worked with her directly for 5 years and have learned absolutely nothing. She is not someone I aspire to be - I can do her job better than she can - and she knows it. She is not professional, micromanages her managers - she can get away with it become none of us plan to stay - we are professionals and can find a better job elsewhere we will experience growth and development - not here where you are afraid to say what you think and step outside the box because you will be slapped on the hand for bad behavior.

Today (just like every day) i worked my ass of to DO my boss's job. I was hired because she can't do her own fucking work and she's the only one at this company who knows how to do her job with the exception of me. She's a bitch who never went to college. i'm still a student, i'm smarter than her, and she treats me like a child. i FUCKING hate her and i'm SO glad i'm leaving at the end of the month.

I hate my boss, he promised 45-50,000 when I started, when I realized I wasn't being paid this much I questioned him, he said it would happen at the first review. It came and went, the review coincided with the gfc and a bunch of people got put off so i didn't think it appropriate to raise the subject. Now they're putting new staff on and has been over two years. When I brought it up at my review he said he would put it to the CFO, I gave him a letter (at his request) outlining my case. He accepted it at first but when I spoke with him the other day about the situation, he said it wouldn't happen and asked where I got 45-50,000 from !!!!! I hate him to death now, I have no respect, no confidence and have given up trying at work. For a lousy $3000 a year more I would have felt that my waiting was worthwhile and my loyalty had been rewarded. Instead I feel lied to, disrespected and unappreciated. I really hope the karma comes right back to him 10 fold!

I hate my direct manager! He hired me into the company's first Marketing role and said this would be a real career move for me. I had a job when I was interviewing and had another job offer with another company but took this position against my bad gut feeling about my soon to be boss. He is NOT a manager and THINKs he knows about marketing because he did it years ago. Get a clue, times have changed. He is too engrossed in sales and trying to make a buck to know wtf is going on! He is arrogant and talks down to other employees and bad mouths higher management, yet they still employ him! 85% of my "marketing manager" role is a bitch to the arrogant sales team, making binders and literature and maililng it out. My boss wanted an experienced marketer with a degree for this shit job! WTF did I get myself into? I am in my own private hell. If not for the paycheck, I would walk out and not look back for a second!!! save me!!

I asked for a week off about 3 months in advance, if not more. My parents were leaving the state and needed someone to watch their elderly dog & cat. I received my week off...for about four days. Then I got called in constantly and guilt tripped for saying no. Then I was informed that I really had no choice.

I hate my boss. one minute he acts super nice to me, then he is yelling at me for something that is his fault. He is so stupid that he always asks me to help him with things like, buying a song off iTunes. Then he makes backhanded remarks about how I don't work hard, which is not true at all.

my boss is a sleaze bag. he hits on me on a daily basis, then screams at me for nothing and makes me cry. the sexist pig pms's more than i do, has deep seeded mummy issues and should be steralised to prevent any of his retardation from being passed on to future generations HATE HATE HATE HIM. i remember how miserable i was when i wrote that the next day i quit by bursting into the directors board room where all the hot shots were, proceeded to sing "i quit! i quit i quit i quit!" and dance my way out of the three storey building. three months later - my depression is a distant memory, i'm working with people who respect me and could not be happier! so i really really beg you guys to think about whether what you're tollerating is worth it.

So, I got hired, and I was immediately set up to fail. I should have known something was up when I was the third person this year to be hired for the job.
A few things my boss likes to do. Not communicate, she prefers to talk through IM chat (which I save), steal my commission from me and break into my desk.
She has been fired from previous jobs doing this, but now she has a protector, one of the higher ups. I finally went to the "ethics" and "security" about her actions. I am the one who got drilled about the problems. She ending up going a couple of days later, should have been fired for her unethical actions (taking close to $5k in commission from me).
Now, I am the one in trouble of losing my job.
