My X-boss is such an asshole! He was absolutely MENTAL! I only worked for the idiot for 25 days - and I did EVERYTHING he asked me to - followed all of his rules, played all of his stupid games, put up with all of his dumbass remarks and ideas without telling him what a fucking idiot he was (and he IS the biggest idiot I've ever met in my life, and also a paranoid control freak), and played into his CRAZY delusions of being some kind of military general and the asshole sends me home one day because I have a cough and the paranoid loser thinks I have SWINE FLU, then he calls to fire me over the PHONE! NO BALLS AT ALL the little loser. People like this NEED to catch H1N1 and just go DIE in a corner. What a pathetic little prick.

I had a boss like that last year. my supervisor was supposed to train me, instead he did his banking, flirted with a cleaner, left me in places (it was a plant hire company) with no instructions, chatted with customers, visited family, and told me to go home at around three in the afternoon because he was out of work for me. Then out of the blue I get a call from my boss saying that this guy didn't want to work with me and because he had nowhere else for me to go I was redundant, then he says he'll ring me back in half an hour so I can defend myself (against what he didn't say). I had covered up for this guy for weeks as I naively thought this was the way to keep my job, I had put up with his sexism, laziness, irritating habits and lack of direction and suddenly I am the one at fault? The only feedback I got was I didn't talk with the customers, excuse me, they were working (like he was supposed to be) they got irritated by constant interruptions!

I completely understand about the "without direction" part. The asshole I worked for asked for a couple of projects - one was a websight, the other was to design a structural steel frame for a loading dock plate. The only directions he gave me were for the websight was to use creative license and the dock frame was supposed to be safe, aesthetic, easily maintenanced, bolt together, and 3 pieces. Then he proceeds to shoot down ALL of my rough drafts, getting pissed that I TOOK CREATIVE LICENSE when he specifically TOLD me to, and then talking like he KNOWS what he is fucking talking about when all he is doing is repeating a bunch of buzz words he probably heard someone else use before. He was the biggest IDIOT that I've ever met in my life. He kept telling me to be a good SPARTAN so I revert to my basic training attitude - I stood at attention, I followed orders without question, I spoke clearly and precisely. Then he fires me, and the moron can't come up with any reason other than our personalities don't click. What a fucking idiot. At least admit that you are intimidated by me because I can learn new software at the drop of a hat and YOU can't even figure out how to navigate Adobe Acrobat Reader. The IDIOT! Even his job advertisement asked for a SolidWorks user and he didn't even HAVE SolidWorks - the MORON had AutoCAD Inventor - I don't think he even knew the difference between the two. When he asked me if I knew how to author websights I told him I knew how to do basic HTML and then when he hired me he wanted shit that was created in Dreamweaver and Java. FUCKING IDIOT. YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I SAID WHEN I INTERVIEWED, DID YOU!? Another classic case of a little man popping off at the mouth asking questions he can't even understand the answer to to make himself look big and then when he gets the real deal he can't handle it. The little fucker was constantly telling me not to question his judgement. Well, there really wasn't any need to question his judgement - there was no question about it - he was INSANE and I would not trust him to run a FREE Hot Dog Stand in Yankee Stadium - he would fuck it up that bad. Jesus Christ, how did this little retard survive growing up in Detriot? I KNOW why he left - he would be DEAD by now. Some union rep would have had the little ego tripper keeping the fishes company long ago.

I could go on and on and on on this subject.
I work for a small printer (3 employees + the boss and his wife) and when I was hired, it was as a graphic designer but most of the time I end up doing half the job of everyone else, including my moron boss. And the he has the balls to come and complain to me that I take too much time doing this or that.

The secretary has all kinds of chronic illnesses and keep taking days off so I end up answering the phone, even if the boss is sitting right beside it and it's always for him. I also end up doing photocopies of stupid customers too stupid to operate a copy machine. I went to college to do copies!

And of course there's my boss' wife. She come to the office whenever she like to do the finance stuff and keep complaining and complaining all day long. The lazy cow sometime come over to give me a hand when the secretary is not there. Ha! I wish she'd just leave me alone. I'm so sick of hearing her complain about how boring it is, how much she hate answering the phone, etc... when all she do is yell at me to take the phone when it rings and come fetch me to answer customers.

I have to deal with all kind of shit work all days, fix the computers, help coworkers with their job but do anyone ever say thanks or please? They talk to me like I'm the dog. Not to mention the ridiculous paycheck. I know many people with no education that earn more than me.

The cherry on the top came a few days ago when I asked for a day off to go to the dentist for an emergency exam. One of my wisdom teeth was infected and very painful, making it difficult to eat and giving me monster headaches. The asshole dared to complain that I took a day off at the wrong time because the secretary was off (again) to see some relatives out of town. Like I was having fun! I'll need another appointment to have it pulled out but who know when I'll be able to have it done.

I have 5 sick days and 2 holiday weeks a year but it's always a struggle to be able to take a day off. Not to mention all that cumulated overtime.

I have prehistoric equipment, complained about it and was told that I open too many files at once, that's why my computer is so slow. Yeah, like I don't know how to use a computer. And that's coming from the guy who can't even get his emails himself (and who get them for him?).

The presses were probably build before the foundation of the country and there's a piece of equipement that have a brick on top to keep it from vibrating like mad. Most of the gears are exposed and we have to watch it constantly whenever we use it to catch the film when it get out or it'll fall in the dryer's fan. He bought a new (used) one last year but still haven't installed it.

I need a graphic tablet to do some projects or it would take me an eternity I would get reproches again. My boss was supposed to buy me one 3 years ago but never did. I had to bring mine from home but it ended up broken. A customer took pity on me and gave me his old one.

The boss think he's so funny. Constantly making lame jokes to customers (most of the time about his employees) or doing the same bad jokes to us over and over again. God I'm so sick of these.

Most of the time he only give me half the informations I need for a project and then it's my fault it's not done the way he want it. Like it's my fault I can't read his mind. He ask me to do a gazillion things at once and complain when I forget something or don't put the priorities where he want me to (never mentionning it in the beginning of course). Just today he complained that I had not yet printed a document but the last thing I heard about it was : wait we still don't have the right paper for the job. And of course he'll argue that he did tell me. Yeah, right.

No wonder they are constantly looking for new graphic designers. I'm probably among the ones that lasted the longer with a whooping 5 years but I'm seriously thinking of finding something else. Anything else. The problem is there's not a lot of job for graphic designer here. I can't leave the area: my boyfriend have a good job and all our familly is here.

They really know how to motivate people here.

My boss got promoted for quota reason and she is a freaking idiot. I got promoted for quota reasons and I am not. She is trying to pencil F#$%^ me because she has found no other way to destroy me.

Hello - this is my very first time posting on this site. I didn't realize that there was this kind of site out there.
My boss is a self centered jerk. Today I told him I was tired and he said "well I didn't even have a weekend". He went on a business trip and so I should feel so bad for his goofy self. I was talking about me, not YOU as usual! So sick of his self centered ways.
And he feels like I should be a mind reader. If you want something done and it is IMPORTANT then tell me that it is and when it is due! He acts like it is fine to take my time and then follows up with a snappy attitude and then apologizes for it later. You wouldn't have to apologize if you didn't snap at me in the first place.
Oh and he used to secretly read his books and newspapers while I did ALL the work. Then when it got slow due to the market, he got scared and asked for work and then complained when he got work because he is so stinkin lazy! Butt kisser he is now. Should have been one in the first place!

I could spend days talking about my Back-Stabbing Boss (BB).
BB is one of the meanest bosses in the warehouse, a real bully. This guy doesn’t do crap all day, he just screams and glares at us. If anyone says something, he writes them up right away. BB never tells us what we need to know, and he is notorious for favoritism. To make matters worse, all of our equipment is ancient, and something is always breaking down. No wonder our warehouse is the worst one in the company for customer service.

Anyway, our department really went downhill three months ago. Our good manger was transferred, and BB wanted to replace her. When BB didn’t get the job, he blamed us for it. He is now out to get everyone who doesn’t kiss his butt, including me. The problem is our new manager doesn’t know any of us, so he believes everything BB says. Several of my friends have been fired already, and I think I might be next. I’m looking for another job, but things are really tight now. If I did get fired, I don’t know if I would laugh or cry.

My boss is completely insane! I really think that she has multiple personalities. She will tell me to do something and I will follow her exact instructions. Then when I report back to her (especially when following her instructions results in friction), she will flip out yelling and asking why the hell I would do that, etc. Raging psycho! She likes to target individuals and publicly ridicule them. She has instructed me to do things that are against regulations and the union contract. I've been asked to do a range of unethical and most recently something illegal. Either way you're screwed. If you don't do it, you can count on paying the price. However, if you piss somebody off (HR, Union, etc.) she'll hang you out to dry and even go so far as to lecture you on your stupidity. You can forget whistle-blower protection. Reporting anything is career suicide, especially if you're in management! Case in point, the person who occupied my position prior to me told her boss about her behavior...thus, the vacancy that I filled. God I hate that bitch!

my boss rules through fear and intimidation and if you go to HR or anything you are branded a traitor and he makes your life hell. he migrated to my country and keeps saying how crap and backwards it is. he expects everyone to work whenever he feels like they should regardless of other commitments or responsibilities but he has 2 hour lunches and goes home whenever he pleases. he has humiliated me in front of the whole department 3 times and puts me on the late shift every roster even though he knows i don't drive and get stranded with no way home. i have asked for further training for over a year and today he went off at me because i didn't know how to do something and when i told him nobody had trained me to do it he told me to train myself! and he threatened to fire me for doing something that had no negative impact on the company whatsoever but he didn't like it because it was against HIS principles! he's a full blown douche bag!

I really hate my boss. He always seem to ask me (one of the managers) to give opinion, but he actually has his own thoughts. If you cannot guess it right, he'll give you the look and continue the long meeting until you guess it right. He's not democratic at all. He's faking to be democratic. He's a real dictator. Why couldn't he just tell us what he wants and spare us the time sitting duck in the meeting room looking at is fxxking face. He's sick!!! Should go see a shrink to realize his own problems!! Asshole!!

You could see different kinds of weather one day on my boss's face. Morning he could be happy and in the afternoon, his face is like shit! He's such a moody guy I think he's having middle-aged crisis. He could "torture" me by telling me how down he feels and the other day he could just give me the "shit" face and implied that I'm not doing things his way. Asshole, I'm not your therapist!! Go talk to your wife if you need someone to talk to!! And I can't read your mind, so why don't you just tell me what you want!! Is every boss acting like this or just mine? My... I worked 6 month in an art gallery. I have diploma in art at college and university and then my boss shows me how to fold a letter to put it in envelope... COME ON! What a f*** moron...

His workaholic administration director (a total performance-praising asshole who always complain in the back of the boss and wants to take his place because he's becoming old) accused me many time of things that I never did before. For example, when I was volunteering to fetch some coffee because there was none left to make. She replied «Yes so you can take a 15min walk.» I hate her monkey-like face. When I was ill at the Hospital the day of an opening exhibit, she tough I was taking a break like that, randomly. And when I was about to finish my contract (it was a contract of 6 month of working, called a «contract with salary subventions» like it's offered in Quebec because of non-lucrative or poor enterprises), I had at the same time an art contest. It was not interfering my schedule. She called at home and my boyfriend answered and told her that I wasn't here. She replied «Yes, that's it, she saw (art gallery name)'s number and then she did not want to reply». My boyfried said : «no, she is at her art contest, may I take the message?» She then replied «No, but tell her good luck for the contest» WHAT A STUPID WENCH, I HATE HER. I'm sure both the boss and the monkey-face were thinking I was a cunt.
