I once had a boss who would leave everyone a voice mail in the morning telling us that it was going to be an "ozone action day" and that we should wait till evening to fill out vehicles with gas and refrain from mowing our yards and walk to work. Yet he would pull up in his BMW when he lived two blocks from the firm. Go figure. He was one of THE biggest jerks I ever worked for.

Ok, the first 3 years I worked for my boss were GREAT!! He never complained was always happy go lucky... The last year or year and a half have been very stressfull... He calls me everyday at least once a day, and if I don't answer the first time he'll call me until I do... literally... Now that the economy is bad and the tables have turned and he knows it would be hard for me to up and walk away from him financially and career wise.. It seems like everything he takes everything I do for granted, and when I make petty mistakes he acts like its the end of the world and my job is on the line if I don't correct them... I'm a fucking human not a robot... To top it off he procrastinates in everything hes supposed to fix or do... I'm really getting tired of this bull shit.. the pay is good but I'm not happy with the way things have been going lately.. I need to vent.. and to top it off the new employee who I trained btw can do no wrong, the new employee has made more mistakes in 2 weeks than I made in 1 year, and has made more mistakes in 1 year than I have in 4... and he had been formally trained for 2 weeks!!! I had only a few days of improper training... To top it off my boss has caught him lying on several occassions and I know if I had done half the stuff the employee has done.. I would be gone at this point... I guess hes using the same strategy on him that he used on me... hes playing good boss/ bad boss I guess.. F**king Bi Polar Douche bag is what he is.. *sigh*

I will be posting here frequently, I can feel it... post 1: My boss has tried, more than once, to get in my pants even though he is married and has 2 kids. As I started making friends in the company, I found out he had done the same to the last girl who was hired before myself. He is the ultimate sleazebag.

Ok, so we got his new guy and the first day not knowing at all what's going on or what needs to happen during the day decided to change pretty much everything and I can't wait for him to get in trouble for it. He listens to rap loud so people that don't need to hear it, do, plus i can't stand that stupid shit. Changed all of our hours. We already work 20 hours a day, but only 3-5 days a week, now on the days we have off, we gotta come in at 6:30 and get off at 3:00. I understand that's a normal workday, but on top of the other 20 hour days and every other weekend. come on now, i'm on salary so he figures he can work us as much as possible and we don't really do that much after about 6:00 at night.

To WTF guest: the same thing recently happened to me as well (except that I can't really say I ever enjoyed my boss's company). When I first joined my company, everything was going great for about a year and a half. I even had another job offer during that period that I walked away from. And that I talked with my management about before doing so. They told me I was going places ... blah, blah, blah. Fast forward a month. A new employee was hired, all of a sudden SHE could do no wrong, and there was now some mysterious "disconnect" between me and my boss. Well, long story short... I was laid off within six months. Nice huh? Still don't know if it was a jealousy attack b/c my other job offer was really good or corporate downsizing just happened at an unfortunate time. What I do know is that the new employee is cheaper than I was. If I were you, I would keep private (i.e. not on your work computer) documentation of any strange behavior from your boss, update your resume, and start job searching. At worst, you may not need to. At best, you might find another job and a better work situation.

My previous boss for six months did not like me; he would say Hello to everyone but ignore me. Then a new boss joined and I was assigned to the new guy. I have not worked with the old boss since. The new guy wrote a bad Mid-Year review on me to please the old guy; he said if he did not do that, he would lose his job. Because he could not find any problem in my work, he evaluated me based on so called "perception". His main reason is that I could not get along with my old boss, and build relationship with my team because my assignment does not require the interaction with the others, which is totally untrue. What a bunch of low lives! All they care is to climb the corp ladder,

I am so upset and stressed out, I could not even sleep. And my new boss just suggested me to look for a new job because I am "Targeted" for next performance review, which is for next six months. Go to the HELL, all Homer managers.

Hi to everyone!
I am a uni student working a casual job. I hate my job cos' my boss not only underpays me, but he insults me allll the time. Just last week he said "can you sometimes use your brain" and lots of other etc words that makes me feel sad. He used to tell my ex-colleague "I hope you can't find a new job" when she quit. I just hate him so much. really hope to get a new job... sigh.

I hate my boss! He is a right petty prick - he seems to fall out with everyone in the industry and is one of these guys that even if you make the slightest mistake he will rub your nose in it - for like a full month, regardless of the fact you not only fixed it, but have also handed in countless work since showing that you have learned! I Really Hate him .... Smarmy prick!

Hello all; I am new to the forum; just typed: I Hate My Boss on google; and ended up here.... Oh my God; I hate her Soooooooooo much.... How can someone be soooooo stupid; sooooo controlling; sooooo idiot. I used to be sitting in front of her; and could not stand it anymore; hence I moved. She is manipulative; controlling. Her motto: Divide and rule; and has assigned another guy to spy on my work. That guy is another jerk; he thinks I don't know. I have my performance review this afternoon with her; I cannot wait to hear her criticisms... I've got to go; but will come back to vent; that's for sure ) Good luck to all!

It's me again... and am mortified I have to use this forum to get better... Well; last week; I had a project review meeting; with my boss. I find it interesting how communication is not working when you dislike each other... and yet we work for the same company. I tried to understand her; trying to make her life easier; and it is not working; the more I am showing I am independant; an can do the job; the unhappier she is; and controlling she becomes... Is she a micro manager? I start thinking she is; at least with me. People say there are many reasons that is the case; one of them being insecurity... Why would my boss feel insecure towards me? It is not because I know my job; and can do it pretty well (I've been working on the same position for 3 years; and always had good performance rating) that I will take her job!!! There are so much more things I need to do before managing people... And that's exactly what I am reproaching her. She became manager with very low communication skills; people management; and crisis management. The only thing she knows is: There is only one way; and it is my way. I know it all; so; no need to tell me what the subject is; and the solution you came up with; I KNOW.... Any tips on managing a micromanaging manager?
