Okay so I believe my boss hates me. On saturday I called my sister earlier in the day to ask if she can give me a ride to work since my wife has the car. My sister kind forgets about me and is running late picking me up. My shift starts @ 3pm and I call my work at about 2:57pm to inform my manager I'm running just a few minutes late (keep in mind I only live about 5 minutes away from my work driving) and she says ok. I clock in at my work between about 3:07 - 3:09 pm. I called in and everything was ok, but then I got an email from my boss (not the manager I called, but the one in charge of the building and it's managers) and he wrote me up. What a dick ...

Hey, so I found this site this morning, and it is pure genious. I really have so much to say, I don't want to write too much, but there just IS so much. I commited to work here for a year. I started in September. August cannot come soon enough! A month in I wanted to leave, but I told myself I'm not a quitter. What I am is an idiot. My boss has been working this job for 23 years, I have been for 5 months, I know how to work our computer system better than her. When it comes to the computer she's as lame as a man in a wheel chair. When I try to correct her mistakes she either gets mad at me for making her look bad in front of clients, or ignores me. She has a stash of pens in her drawer because as everyone might know, they get lost easily. Everythime she loses her pen she accuses me of stealing it, so I come into her office to look for it, and (surprise surprise) it was behind her keyboard. She assumes I take all of her office stuff (stapler, hole puncher, what not!?).
When I started I used to forget to tell clients some important things that I was supposed to before they went in to meet with her, and she'd tell me off for forgeting (I started a week ago! Gimme a break!), but now when clients meet with her and she starts telling them everything and to every piece of information they say "yeah, we know, she told us already", NOTHING! She told me off for the stupidest thing! Where is the "good job!" or "well done!" for knowing what my job is!!!
I'm a 19 year old girl. I need her validation.
The problem is that she doesn't yell at me, but it's the tone in her voice when she tells me I did something wrong. And she's good at her job, she's just a terrible boss.
I hate working here. My job is mostly secretarial, and KMN! Now I know that when I grow up I will not be working in an office! G-d help me!
In the office it's just her and me for the most part. I'm her only employe, so I'm the only one suffering. I wish I had someone to talk to. Thank you for allowing me to vent like this. I'm not expecting anyone to actually read this, but if you did, then WOW! you must hate your job if you're wasting your time reading this.
She wants me to oganize her inbox, but I don't know what to do with anything, and she's always in the middle of something so I can't ask her.
There's so much more from just 5 months of working here, but I'll stop now.

My boss has been on the job for about. 9 months. She did a job like the one she is over, but we have different ways to do it. But she came like a bull in a china shop and thought she knew everything. She and I locked horns, just got my eval, she deemed me a marginal employee! I have worked for this company for over 15 years and have never ever been given a review like this. She is arrogant and doesn't admit she is wrong. She blames it on faulty information. Her boss used to be my boss. I took this job when she was doing this job. She said it was a great department and we were flexible. That was one of the reasons I hired in last year. o m g I feel like it was a bait ands switch. Now, with this eval, I won't be able to get another job for a long time. I am so passed I can't see straight. I can't quit right now due to some issues with my health, as I am afraid I don't be able to afford insurance under that damn Obamacare! Suggestions?

I'm not a great actress, so when my boss annoys me, I guess I don't hide it as well as I wish. She claims she can read me, and she can tell when I'm upset, and she makes fun of me for my "give-aways" or whatever. What kills me is that this person who claims she can read me so well, can't see the freakin' obvious and figure out that she's the one who upsets me! I can't tell if she's just that oblivious and stupid or she just doesn't care that she drives me nuts.

I don't have it as hard as people posting comments, but I do hate my boss because she has no business management skills, she is slow, retarded and most likely has an Alzheimer or Parkinson. What upsets me the most how people like these get into management positions? Now she retired thank God and we got a new boss who is younger but just an arrogant dickhead, I don't think he has Alzheimer or Parkinson, but he is definitely just a fuckwit, just a disgusting dick who doesn't give a staff about business, employers, customers, anybody as long as his payment goes in on time.

My boss does my head in, she rosters me to work 7 days without a break then texts me at 11pm at night because she wants to reprimand me about one thing I forgot to check on.

She's a major control freak and the worst gossip I've ever met. She's rude and often dismisses people if she doesn't feel their worth her time

My boss never gets in before 10:00 a.m. surfs the net, calls friends can't make a decent decision however, has a knack for blaming everyone else when something goes wrong...shouts, screams at the females in the office, then hits the bar to bad mouth his employees.....a real little dick!!!

Ok I've been in my current position for about a year and have had the managers above me change a few times but the latest two are the worst. The one directly above me is am old guy who has been with the company for a long time and he expects me to do about six hours work in about three hours, he breaks safety policies to get things done which I won't do. I once ran out of time to do things and he told me I need better time management skills and I need to go faster. (it's a Monday and nothing was done on the weekend) and a second time I didn't do something properly (I admit I made a mistake and forgot to do it) and he threatened to fire me and said that I am wasting HIS money (not the companies money but HIS) and all this other crap speaking to me as if I'm not human. The manager above him is a lazy fat cow that barely does anything and expects people to practically run while using equipment I.e trolleys, while thier are customers around then gets up us for talking to one another but has the hide to go and chat to others and crap.

Today she blamed me for something I didn't do and gave me a telling off in front of everyone to humiliate me. She may be a miserable person but it's not an excuse to be completely vile! Hate her.

They do this to ensure that they have someone to blame for their own ineptitude, ensuring they can suckle at the teat of corporate for one more year. Well, I just joined this forum and I have so much to vent from dealing with numerous crazy bosses!!! Been holding it in for years and now I can let it all out. From my experience dealing with bosses, I find that a lot of them have personal issues in which they take to the workplace and project it onto their employees. Some may have hidden prejudices, either against women, religion, race, personal belief, etc... and while sometimes they may not be conscience of their behavior they can be difficult to work with. I have so much pent up anger from dealing with these individuals. In one case, I had this female boss who was angry with me because I replaced a friend of hers in a job position. At this time she was not in a supervisory position but a year later she was promoted, (under suspicious circumstances) and she gave me hell.  Nothing I did was right for her.  She always find ways of finding fault in my work.  She even wrote me up for the most minor things. I began to realize early that she was setting me up for a fall.  My suspicions turned out to be correct.  Though i tried to defend myself, it was pointless because upper management took her word because of her supervisory position. What I just wrote about was just a brief overview of what I had to endure, there were many other situations that took place with this individual.  I don't hate her, I just pity her for being so screwed up.

I'm also new at my job and contracted for one year, and I'm six months in and I can't stand it. My boss is cruel to me nearly daily - by her word I'm rude, I'm arrogant, I'm a liar, I think I know everything, I think I'm better than all our clients and her. I don't think that, but she enjoys talking sarcastically over me and interpreting every attempt to defend myself as "making excuses," so I just try to apologize for everything I do and stay as far away from her as possible - next to impossible in a 6-person office. I've cried in so many business meetings as she calls me out specifically in front of everyone. She has a problem with everything I do - how I sit, how I speak, how I smell, how I dress, how I move ("you look like you're always in a hurry, it's rude.") she gets angry because I don't ask her things, and then she gets angry because I did ask her things but not at the right time, or not in the right way, or not the right thing - and then I just give up and hyperventilate in the back room instead of ever asking anything, because I can't deal with being yelled at one more time, I really can't.

I feel so dumb and childish for being so upset; I want to be calm and professional with her, but I just can't do it, I'm too terrified at this point. I feel sick every time I have to go into work. I love working with clients just because she won't talk to me; I make up as many excuses as I can to be out of the office we share. I know my work performance is suffering, but I just need to get out before I scream.

My boss is the biggest scum of the universe. I work for an "artist" in his studio we will call him Kyle. So Kyle's wife hates him so much that he sleeps at the studio on a pile of clothes he calls a " sofa " every night for the 4 weeks I have worked there. I was hired because Kyle saw my art work online and liked it so much he called me up and offered me a job. At first when I went in he seemed like a nice guy. Turns out he is a horrible human being. My co worker ( we will call Dan ) tried to kill himself on the way to work because my boss makes him so miserable. Kyle smokes cigarets in the closed unventilated studio even though Dan is allergic to smoke and when Dan said something about it Kyle said if you have a problem with me smoking then quite. Kyle finds homeless people to do work for him and I have no idea if he pays them or not he also has an underaged and untrained girl using power tools and equipment and she'll loose a hand any day now. Today what really set me off was that I had slaved all morning on a painting for him while he watched family guy in the backroom.... keep in mind I am a painter who was just accepted into a amazing grad school for painting... So he wakes up and looks at the work I did ( he already drew it out and I just went over it ) and says " This is horrible... a 3rd grader can paint better than you...Jesus Christ... do the whole thing over cause you ruined it." I didn't say anything back to hime but "okay" and he then goes " is something wrong with you??? I'm not kidding is there something wrong with you? are you on drugs? do you have a learning disability ?" Im a tough chick and never show my emotion around him. I go through this every day with him saying bad things to me and making me feel so uncomfortable so I plan on walking out in the middle of our next big project so that I screw him over horribly. Also I wasn't allowed to come in for two days cause he said he doesn't have money to pay me even though he drives Benz has 2 BMW's and lives in the most expensive neighbor hood in the city in a GIANT modern apartment. He is a total absolute asshole who needs to be like covered in his own shit and publicly shammed.

If I'm going to work hard at work , I shouldn't get paid 7.30 dollars. My manager works the same as me and gets paid 4 fucking times what I get paid. Can you replace 4 of me with 1 of him ? Fuck no. My SUPERVISOR gets paid 6 times more then me and this cocksucker has the nerve to be a fucking dick to my manager and me, and in return my manager is a dick to me also. Now I get shit pay , get shit talked by my manager ,and the supervisor. The thing about my shitty job is that I'm easily replaceable with someone else who will work less then me but has a stronger mental compacity to be treated like a slave so they won't quit. I would rather work harder and get paid a little more , no lemme erase that. I would rather work harder and get paid the same in exchange for everyone I work with and my manager to not give me shit but even if I work harder they will find other areas to give me shit .
