I have the most narcissistic boos on the planet. He has to be included in everyone's personal lives all of the time. He compares my marriage to his because he figures if his doesn't work then mine won't either. After all, if he can't do it, nobody can. He gave me all kinds of new responsibilities and I accepted them gladly, thinking I was going to get some kind of raise or something. After 6 months and no raise I decided to have a talk with him. I told him that my workload was huge nowadays and I haven't been compensated for it at all. He actually agreed with me (because he can't stand confrontation) and gave me the raise. 3 days later he came back and said "You're not allowed to get any overtime anymore. I don't want everyone leaning on the company to get more hours. If you're gonna have over 40 hours you need to tell me so I can give the work to someone else." ..What a piece of ish. But, the next day he asked me to do 3 estimates over the weekend. Of course this isn't possible without getting overtime. I work 40 hours every week, and any estimates are done on the weekends. So I told him, "Well, if I do these estimates I'm definitely going to have over 40 hours" (just like he told me to.), he says "well, its okay this time. but we still have to keep your hours down.".. argg! Even though our customers and associates know me well, and know that I do the estimates, he won't let me e-mail them using my own e-mail address. "It has to come from IDIOT@MyBoss.com or they won't know what it is." .. even though I sign all my emails with my company's name, in the subject, in the estimate, in the message. You would have to be an idiot to not know what the emails are. But see, if they don't come from his address then he can't tell people that he "worked all night to get this estimate" to them. He hasn't worked all night one time in his life. He unloads everything on me and I miss time with my family while he's taking vacations and riding his Harley. I told him about getting a puppy for my little daughter, just making nice conversation, and he says "that's not good, how are you going to afford it?", "you probably should have thought about that one before you went out and got a puppy". Geez, doesn't every good father want to make their kids happy. I could go on for HOURS about this. He definitely is the MOST SELF CENTERED person in the universe. I'm going to stop here though.  |

CJW: I understand your whole 'vent'. I worked for a major corporate company for over 10 years. Did MORE than the job required in hopes of recognition. Although I got paid well, corporate steadily started taking things away from employees...bonuses, days off, special requirements for sick time, etc.. I then decided I was tired of the blood, sweat, and tears only to make my boss look good and for HIM to make large bonuses! I decided to start my OWN business part-time to eventually do what I wanted to do....own my own business and tell myself when I work, how I work, and how much money do I want to make. my job was great until my super quit and the new guy came in. Worst boss EVER!!! he screws up everthing he touches and then cusses at all of us for it. I hope the crane falls on his truck tomorrow. I'll even help clean up his guts ;D

So I just quit my job with my egotistical, insecure, micro-manager, slave-driver boss of 4 years. And I seem to have gone from the frying pan into the fire. The new guy seems nicer, except he's really just repressing. And right when you least expect it, he drops a bomb like "why wasn't this done a month ago". And I'm thinking, "well, I'm the one that informed you and my colleagues, i'm not their supervisor, it's called teamwork, and i shouldn't be held responsible, especially not when I'm expected to complete 4 dozen other projects. But this is how it is isn't it?! At least I don't have to deal with a fluctuating paycheck.. just his mood swings. It's strange how a woman is the one with monthly hormonal changes in her body, and yet there are men that behave like they're on their period!

My boss is lazy. He is stupid to put it nicely, and he knows I do a better job, so his job is to make my job miserabe. He schedules me weak hours one week, maybe ten, then the next week 32.5. but usually he will work me five to six shifts a week but with three hour shifts. WHY??? because he knows I will be wasting my gas money and spening extra money on a baby sitter, I ask him to schedule me days, he gives me nights I ask for more hours, he cuts my hours I ask him to properly fill the 11 point inspections properly and he doesnt he breaks peoples watches and then lies to them asking, "SO what did you do?" He doesnt take responsibility for his actions. He has me to the inventory and gets the bonus. He rings my sales under his number, so not only does it show he is more productive, but he also is getting my commision. He will have me come in for a two our shift, just so he won't have to close the store. He never actually does a watch count. He is grumpy and quiet to customers unless they are young teenage girls. He will sign a customer up for a service and then hand the watch to me and say, "Go ahead and do that, I am going to get a soda." He takes breaks right after he gets "us" started on inventory and cleaning the display cases. I hate my boss!!! What a loser, and worst of all, he tells our boss the opposite, because people like him only get ahead by making others appear bad. AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I could go on.... and the worst part about it is, I really really like working on people's watches. I like working for the customers, I like handing them a repaired watch back in better condition than it was given. I like my job, but I hate my boss  |

Hi,
I am new here. I have only been at this job about 2 months. But I can't stand the manager at this place. At first I thought he was a nice guy but now I know what an insecure micromanaging ahole he is. Also he favors my coworker to the extreme (I am the only female on the team), giving him all the plum assignments while he has me doing grunt work like clicking a thousand check boxes (no joke). I have a graduate degree and many years of experience and he treats me like I am in kindergarten (he is also younger and less qualified than I am). I blew up at him yesterday, which maybe wasn't a good idea, as he progressed from snide remarks to direct insults after that. Considering just quitting - but I am sure that is what he wants.

I have a boss that plays favorites, talks sugar-sweet to your face and then gossips about you to other employees in the company. Although, several years ago, she got very ballsy and asked me about dating one of the guys at the company who I was just preparing to start a project with. I informed her I do not date my coworkers --- she turned around and went to the guy and told him that I'd been asking her about HIM! I could have killed her! If money wasn't an issue, and I had something to fall back on at that point, I would have walked out-should have walked out.
She started out doing the same job I do, and worked her way up. She's too stupid to attempt to do the job now. Any good boss should be able to fill in at a moments notice and pitch in if needed. No way in hell could she attempt it now. When the old assistant manager left the company after moving out of the area, she said that the existing supervisors were going to share the tasks instead of naming a new person to the job.
She reneged on that statement and named the person who was going to kiss her ass the most. That person is not me, but what ticked me off most is that they didn't interview or offer the position to any other employee. The girl that got the position is who I figured out get it anyway, but it was stupid of me to think that she would bother to gather anyone's input to see what we thought of the plan. I am one of the existing supervisors and have 6-7 years seniority on the one who got the job. She won't even help out with the job anymore.
My work ethic is one where I don't like to sit idle. I like to be busy. I've asked for specific tasks, and get told they'll keep it in mind... only to watch that task go to someone else who already has a lot on their plate.
I don't mind my job, some of my customers are great, but I would love to see my boss out of there!

My boss has got to be the bitchiest, most temperamental, nitpicky, micromanaging person I have ever met. And the biggest problem is, she ISN'T EVEN MY BOSS. She likes to think she is my supervisor, by telling me how to do my work (a job that she has never had before), how to organize my time, and having me route the simplest of emails through her so she can edit them before I send them out. When I don't do things her way, she tells me she is "frustrated" with me, and complains that I don't listen to her--and then questions if I even want to be there! Numerous times she's asked me to do something, and when I ask for clarification, she just rolls her eyes, sighs, and says "Never mind!" The latest thing she did was call me into a room during an important meeting, just so she could vent to me about how frustrated she is with me, because I "don't do my job"--all because we didn't have "enough" food for a meeting, the amount of which SHE had previously agreed upon! And then she had the audacity to tell me that if she had it her way, she'd have me fired! When I tried to tell her otherwise, she said not to argue with her! What's worse is, this is my first job ever, and she doesn't have the maturity or wisdom to treat me with respect; instead, she berates me, reprimands me for not doing things her way, and says I don't know what I'm doing. I'm stressed every day coming in to work, and spend the entire day hoping I don't have to come into contact with her. She is a Grade A bitch who pretends to be so sweet and who tries to make it look like all she wants is improvement, and to have fun, but in reality, she is a total loser who needs to make everyone else around her miserable--and then blame THEM for her misfortune at working with such "incompetent" people. I hope karma ends up being a bigger bitch than she is, and bites her in the ass.

Don't get me wrong, I highly commend my boss on keeping that restaurant open for 20 years, working day in and day out but I honestly think all those years have not humbled him, let alone given him good work ethic. When I first started, he was kind (and by kind I mean, giving me lectures every now and again during work) but now he's just gone beyond douche baggery. To put it short and sweet, he likes to shun me in front of customers. The constant embarrassment and put downs makes me want to cry. That's been going on for a few weeks now and every time I step into work, it takes all my energy not to ram a plate at his rib cage.

I must say that although I am fairly new to my job, I am having the most downright despicable work time of my life right now. My boss is an utter bitch when it comes to my shifts. Although the cafe isnt very much frequented by people, which gives the employers more free time to relax and such, the boss acts like an uptight bitch. She thinks of me like her little slave making me do the work of a regular employee while she only pays me half of my salary saying how I'm still a trainee and such. I know that I am a new worker at her cafe and such but I really don't appreciate it when she treats me like trash. She makes my working moments the most intimidating due to her lack of communication only with me while she sits counting money and chit chats with all my other coworkers. To say the least, I've tried my best to try to please her but all I have gained in return is some shit ass excuse about my work management and some shit talk about me in a language that they believe I do not understand... I must say, she needs to check that her employees do not understand her language before she starts shit talking about them in that language because I understood EVERYTHING even to the point of my "incompetence" under her constant owl eyed surveillance. She's been giving me the "give me attitude and I'll fuck you over" look ever since the day I started working and have since then been nit picking on every single thing that I have done. I admit that there are some moments where I just feel like throwing the towel in and just giving her the finger but then again i'm only going to be working there for 2 months before going off to college. But I still hate her goddamn guts for being such an inconsiderate bitch.

I hate my boss soooooooo much. So i have been working for this company for 5 years now, i kiss my bosses ass every single day. I come to work early and leave late , i always do above what im supposed to and always do everything my boss asks of me. After 5 years i deserve to be promoted or at least a little freaking bonus, but what happens is my boss hires this young pretty manager, my position in the company is higher than hers. But guesss what happens after 3 months of her working here she got a fucking promotion and now makes more fucking money than me and now my boss treats her like shes the queen of England , like shes his own fucking daughter or something. All my years of keeping my head so far up my bosses asshole has finally paid of to this, and on top of that this new manager tries and tells me what to do like i don't already fucking know. Besides literally wiping my bosses asshole i doooooo everything for him. So to end my post - i hate my boss and i hate this dam company and i hate all the people i work with because there all a bunch of retarded shit fuck ass faces. Thanks for listening have a nice day!

My boss is an incompetent, micro-managing motor mouth jackass! He never shuts up and constantly hovers over my shoulder when I work. I guess this is to cover up the fact that he is completely incompetent. The only reason he is the head of our department is because he put money into the company. He doesn't know anything about how to do his job, yet wants to constantly discredit me and others who do know how to do ours. It's kind of interesting to question other people's skills when he doesn't even know how to use a computer. I have been interrupted from serious tasks to teach this man how to do a copy and paste. COPY AND PASTE!!! If that isn't bad enough, he wants interrupted me for more than 15 minutes because he doesn't know how to send email attachments. He can't possibly be this stupid! I think he took this long on purpose so that I would just do this for him. I can't stand him!!!This man should not even be in an office! If he is not willing to learn basic office skills, he has no business in the workplace at all.
He is also the most paranoid man I have ever met. He is always thinking that people are against him. What else should he expect?! He alienates people who are knowledgeable about their fields, saying that they don't know what they are talking about (another way to cover up his inadequacies). He likes to surround himself with people he thinks will just tell him what he wants to hear. If he is going to constantly dismiss intelligent, competent people who are going to be objective and honest instead of those who are kissing his wrinkled ass, he deserves to fail!

My boss just told me that the only reason the venue is looking so good is because of all the hard work that he alone has done. Never mind the casual bussies that have been cleaning the hell out of the joint to make sure its ready. Plus the painting and labouring work that was done on the cheap. Fucking prick.......
